Days 252 and 253 – at Cocoa Village Marina, Cocoa, MI - March 14-15, 2012

We elected to stay extra days at Cocoa Village Marina so that we could share a rental car with Frank and Carrie and visit two of the many attractions in the area. Our attraction choices were the Epcot Center at Disneyworld and the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral.  We did Epcot on Wednesday where Carrie and I enjoyed the Soarin’ ride which simulates a peaceful hang-gliding flight over California.  This was like traveling home for Carrie (who lives in California) – she had a great time telling me all about the sites we soared over including Yosemite, the Golden Gate Bridge and the city of Los Angeles.  We were mesmerized by the finale of the evening – a fireworks/laser/water fountain show on the World Showcase Lagoon.  All in all it was a great day.

Doug and Judy from Moonstruck joined us at Cocoa Village Marina on Wednesday evening and then went with us to the Kennedy Space Center on Thursday.  Doug and Judy traveled many miles on the Loop with Frank and Carrie on Once Around before finishing their Loop this fall in Port Charlotte, Florida.  They have been missing the Looper lifestyle and are joining us for a few days of travel up the east coast of Florida.
