Days 249 and 250 – at Melbourne Harbor Marina, Melbourne, FL - March 11-12, 2012

It rained all day on Sunday; in fact the local TV weather report said that the city of Melbourne received 2.25” of rain for the day.  We spent the day on Boreas – reading and relaxing – not really doing much of anything.  We braved the blustery, wet weather, had a wonderful dinner with Frank and Carrie at the Charthouse Restaurant just a block from the marina.

On Monday walked around the town of Melbourne.  Melbourne has a great downtown area with lots of shops, bars and restaurants.  It is great to see a downtown that is thriving.  In the afternoon we joined Frank and Carrie in their dinghy for a ride up Crane Creek where we hoped to see a manatee or two.  It was a beautiful ride, but we didn’t see a single manatee.
