Day 237 – at Marina Del Mar, Key Largo, FL - February 28, 2012

The weather report shows that both Wednesday and Thursday look about the same for travel from Key Largo up to Boca Chita (our next stop).  We have heard from a number of Loopers that in this part of Florida, it is best to get to a marina on Friday and stay there until Monday.  Apparently the local traffic on this portion of the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway (Atlantic ICW) is just unbelievable, so those of us who have a choice on when to move should choose weekdays, not weekends.  So, we have decided to depart tomorrow, spend two days getting to Fort Lauderdale and then spend the weekend at a marina in Fort Lauderdale.

We are ready to go – the refrigerator, pantry and water tanks are full and the holding tank is empty!
