Days 41-46 - Lake Macatawa - August 16-21, 2011

We spent one more day and night anchored in Pine Creek Bay on Lake Macatawa.  We thoroughly enjoyed this anchorage although it was quite busy with skiers and tubers during the day.  Both nights brought calm winds and beautiful sunsets – the perfect anchorage.

Wednesday we travelled three miles down Lake Macatawa to Eldean’s Shipyard where we will be spending the remainder of the week.  We will be racing sailboats on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and hanging out with our sailing friends.

The plan remains to depart from Lake Macatawa on Monday and head quickly toward Chicago where we have reservations for three nights beginning Thursday, August 25.

  1. Hey guys, I just found your blog curtesy of Judge Huff. Awesome website and I'm looking forward to following your adventures. Dort and and I are hashing out the details to meet up with you in Florida after USVI trip. Congrats on your 2nd in the international 110 championship regatta, sorry we couldn't be there. You should have seen Watercolor all decked out in birthday balloon and streamers. Dort was very embarrassed and very pleased.

    Be safe.
