Day 46 (part 2) - Lake Macatawa - August 21, 2011

Our sailboat racing is done and the boat is now stored for the winter in a pole barn in Holland (with six other sailboats).  The racing was our 2011 National Championship Regatta.  There were five boats that competed and Fred and I finished second overall and first in the Women’s Championship (the boat must be skippered by a women to compete for this award).  It was a great three days of racing and being with our sailing friends.  This will be the last time we race for quite awhile, but we hope many of these friends will join us on our adventure in different places around the country.  We have been trying to lure them into visiting us this winter by promising warm Florida weather when it is cold and wintery in the mid-west.
