Day 398 – at St. Amant’s Marina, Britt, Ontario (Byng Inlet) - August 7, 2012

With our less than enjoyable travel in the wind yesterday, we were cautions this morning and checked a number of weather sites before setting off.  And based on what we saw, we decided to stay here at St. Amant’s Marina for a second night.  The weather forecasts were showing some light rain which would last most of the morning, but what we saw by looking out the window (which we sometimes wish the weather forecasters would do) was that the wind had not died down nearly as much as we had hoped.

So we spent an extremely lazy day here in Britt.  We picked up a few groceries at the store across from the marina and we filled the water tank.  We also caught up on e-mail and other assorted paperwork.  We had dinner at the Britt Inn just down the road where we ate burgers and watched coverage of the Olympics.

Tomorrow’s weather forecast looks better than what we had today – we will check again in the morning and make our plans from there.
