Day 370 – at Thousand Island Club, Alexandria Bay, NY - July 10, 2012

It is so beautiful here that we have decided to never leave.  That’s not completely true – the beautiful part is true and we are staying one more day, but that’s mostly so we can pick up a package we are having delivered here.  For awhile now we have been looking for the electronic version of the Canadian charts we need for the next portion of the trip.  We weren’t too worried about finding the “chip” we needed because we figured it could be found everywhere in New York (proximity to Canada and all that).  Well, we were wrong and we have not been able to find what we need.  We finally placed an order with West Marine and had the “chip” shipped to Horizon Marine in Alexandria Bay.

This gave us time to work on a number of things on the “to do” list.  So, the boat is clean, the laundry is done and we are ready to head into Canada.
