Day 60 – Havana, IL to an anchorage behind Bar Island - September 4, 2011

Today was quite an easy day with no locks and just 32 miles of travel.  We are ready to be off the Illinois River and on to the next body of water.  The scenery here is very basic – trees along a river.  There aren’t many interesting rock formations or even many hills.

We have a great anchorage tonight just slightly behind Bar Island.  There are two other Loopers here with us – Brandy IV who we’ve been traveling with and Tropical Breeze who we first met at DuSable Harbor in Chicago.

            Miles: 32.0      Bridges: 3        Locks: 0
red and green buoys (with their cement block anchors)
