Days 313 and 314 – at Waterside Marina, Norfolk, VA - May 14-15, 2012

As predicted, the weather here in Norfolk is quite unsettled.  We get lots of rain and quite a bit of wind, but our slip at Waterside is well protected and we comfortably weather the storms.

Fred spent a couple of hours one afternoon talking to a fellow Looper who had questions about the North Channel and Lake Michigan.  We are so lucky to have such great cruising grounds in our own backyard and we like to share information about our favorite places with other cruisers.  We also got a bit of shopping done, Fred got a haircut and Julaine treated herself to a pedicure.

We spent one afternoon at Nauticus, an interactive science and technology center that explores the naval, economic and nautical power of the sea.  Nauticus is also home to the Battleship Wisconsin and the Hampton Roads Naval Museum.

This is Theodore Too - we saw him in Fort Lauderdale and again here in
Norfolk.  He is traveling north to his home in Canada, attending boat shows
and boating events along the way.
